As if the connecticut school shooting weren't enough to stomach today, another egregious attack on children took place today in China.

As reported by the Associated Press, a 36-year-old knife-wielding man appeared at a school in the Henan Province and began slashing people. The children who were injured were between the ages of 6 – 11.

This is not the first such incident in China. There has been a spate of attacks on children in school, which began in March 2010. That attack resulted in the death of the 20 and a whopping 50 injuries.
